Arnhem 1944 — The battle for Arnhem formed the northern end of Operation Market Garden in September 1944, an ambitious Allied attempt to seize bridges through the Netherlands.

History behind the design

British 1st Airborne Division and the Polish 1st Independent Parachute Brigade fought for the Lower Rhine crossing against a rapid German response. The bridge could not be held and survivors withdrew across the river.
