The Normandy landings brought five Allied beachheads together across the coast of northern France on 6 June 1944.
This design uses a map of the landing area rather than a single battle scene, showing the geography behind Operation Overlord and the relationship between the different sectors. We chose the distressed map treatment because it gives the shirt the feel of an old operational or travel document while keeping the subject focused on place, movement and history.
