Rorke’s Drift, 22 January 1879.
This design represents the defence of the mission station at Rorke’s Drift during the Anglo-Zulu War, where a small garrison held its position through a night of intense fighting. We chose to represent it because the name has become inseparable from courage, endurance and the human story behind the campaign, and because the ground itself still carries enormous meaning for battlefield visitors and military-history enthusiasts.
The monochrome historical illustration keeps the tone restrained and respectful rather than turning the event into a novelty graphic.
