Royal Flying Corps — 1914–1918.
The Royal Flying Corps entered the First World War when military aviation was still new and developed at extraordinary speed through reconnaissance, artillery observation and air combat. In 1918 it merged with the Royal Naval Air Service to form the Royal Air Force. We chose it because those fragile early aircraft and their crews mark one of the fastest technological changes in military history.
The vintage biplane artwork is styled like a period poster or logbook illustration rather than a modern aviation logo.
