Rorke’s Drift — 22 January 1879, reduced to place and coordinates.
This design references the defence of the mission station at Rorke’s Drift during the Anglo-Zulu War, but does it without a large battle scene. We chose the coordinates because sometimes the place itself says enough: for people who know the campaign, that small point on the map carries the story of the night-long defence and the men on both sides who fought there.
The result is deliberately low-key — a historical reference that looks more like a map note than a souvenir.
