Port Stanley, 14 June 1982 — the point at which the Falklands land campaign reached its conclusion.
After British forces fought across the high ground west of Stanley, Argentine forces in and around the capital surrendered on 14 June. The date therefore represents more than one place: it marks the end of major fighting in the Falklands War and the culmination of the British advance across East Falkland.
We chose Stanley because campaign history is often remembered through its final destination. The design focuses on the location and date rather than triumphalist imagery, making it suitable as a respectful reference for veterans, families and military-history enthusiasts.
