Mount Longdon, 11–12 June 1982.
This design marks the hard-fought night battle for Mount Longdon during the final advance on Stanley in the Falklands War. The ridge was attacked by 3 PARA, and its exposed, rocky terrain shaped the action from start to finish. We chose Mount Longdon because the name remains strongly associated with the cost of those final battles and because the landscape itself helps explain why the fighting was so difficult.
The ridge-led artwork is a historical tribute for veterans, families and military-history enthusiasts; it does not imply personal service there.
