Keep Calm and Carry On — designed in 1939.

The famous slogan was created by the British government at the start of the Second World War as part of a series of morale posters. Unlike its companions, it was barely displayed at the time and only became widely known decades later after surviving copies were rediscovered. We chose it because the real history behind the phrase is more interesting than the modern cliché: a wartime design that achieved its fame long after the war.

The vintage serviceman treatment restores some historical context to a slogan that is now seen almost everywhere.
