Isandlwana — the mountain that gives the battlefield its identity.
The distinctive profile of Isandlwana dominates the ground where British and Zulu forces fought on 22 January 1879. We chose a landscape-led design because anyone who has visited the site understands how strongly the mountain defines the place; it is both a geographical landmark and an immediate visual link to the battle.
The artwork deliberately lets the terrain carry the history rather than filling the shirt with figures, weapons or slogans.
