This map traces the island on which most of the land fighting of the Falklands War took place, from the early battles around Darwin and Goose Green to the final advance on Stanley and the Argentine surrender on 14 June 1982. We chose the map because it connects those separate battle names into one landscape and shows the distances and terrain behind the campaign.

The design is intentionally geographical and reflective rather than triumphalist — a way to carry the place without reducing the history to a slogan.
