Dead Man’s Corner 1944 T-Shirt — Normandy Airborne Heritage

Dead Man’s Corner is a Normandy crossroads whose name came out of the fighting on the approaches to Carentan in June 1944.

The junction near Saint-Côme-du-Mont became associated with a knocked-out American light tank and the grim scene that remained there after the fighting, giving the crossroads the name by which it is still remembered. The area sat on an important route toward Carentan and saw fighting between American airborne troops and German defenders. We kept the design restrained, using the place name and 1944 reference as a piece of airborne and Normandy history rather than turning the event into a slogan.
