This Ink Series design deliberately avoids tying the figure to a named battle or regiment. Instead, the hand-drawn treatment focuses on posture, equipment and the human outline, like a sketch made in a field notebook rather than a polished recruiting poster.

We chose the ink style because it keeps the subject observational rather than heroic. Military history is ultimately made up of individuals, and a simple soldier study can say more about that than another large slogan or badge.
