The British Army Training Unit Suffield has long used the vast Canadian prairie for large-scale training that is difficult to reproduce in the UK. We chose this design because the open horizon, sparse terrain and scale of Alberta become part of the memory of training there just as much as the exercises themselves.

The watchful figures and prairie landscape are presented as a location-led training graphic, not as a depiction of a named operation or individual.
