Operation HERRICK, Afghanistan, 2003–2014.
This GALLUS T-shirt is made for those who served on, supported or remember the UK’s Operation HERRICK deployments in Afghanistan. Official Ministry of Defence records date Operation HERRICK from 2003 to the end of 2014; earlier UK operations in Afghanistan began in 2001 under other operational arrangements.
The design uses muted military tones and a restrained veteran motif rather than oversized slogans. HERRICK became the name associated with successive British deployments to Afghanistan, including the long campaign in Helmand. For many veterans and families, the operation name itself carries enough meaning without explanation.
