Goose Green, 28–29 May 1982 — one of the defining land battles of the Falklands War.
Fought on East Falkland around the Darwin and Goose Green settlements, the battle saw 2 PARA advance against Argentine positions across exposed ground. After hard fighting, Argentine forces in the area surrendered, securing the settlements and marking an important stage in the British land campaign.
We chose the location and dates because Goose Green remains one of the names most closely associated with the 1982 campaign. The design is intended as a respectful historical reference for veterans, families and people studying the Falklands War rather than a piece of exaggerated “warrior” imagery.
