James Langley Dalton VC — Rorke’s Drift, 1879.

Dalton was an experienced former soldier serving with the Army Commissariat Department at Rorke’s Drift. He helped prepare the post for defence and played a significant role during the fighting, later receiving the Victoria Cross.
