Pegasus Bridge 6 June 1944 T-Shirt — D-Day Coup de Main

Pegasus Bridge, 6 June 1944. Major John Howard’s D Company, 2nd Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry landed by glider shortly after midnight to seize the bridges over the Caen Canal and River Orne.

The coup de main was only the opening phase. The bridgehead then had to be held and linked with 6th Airborne Division and troops advancing from Sword Beach. The design represents that connected D-Day operation rather than a lone-hero story.
